Marine Plaza Hotel Mumbai

My wife stayed at this hotel during Nov. 24-30 of this year. She had put cash in the safe with her own PIN and when she returned in the evening, the safe would not open. The manager arrived 45 minutes after being called, and opened the safe with a master key. After opening it was discovered that a substantial amount of money was gone. Luckily some money and the passports were left behind. Management was no help. They only pointed us to the police, A police report was made and the management first said that they will only reimburse us after the police investigation ends, then they will make an insurance claim. When the insurance company pays, the hotel will reimburse us. Now they are saying that no reimbursement will be made unless the police catch and convict. So, essentially, they are taking no responsibility. Do not stay here.
