Mumbai (Bombay ) is on the west coast of Hindustan( India) .It is the financial capital of the country . It is cosmoplitan city and people of various religions live here. It is comprising of seven islands. It is well connected by railways and there is no metro railway as yet. This is a very crowded city but people are extremely helpful. People speak Englsih, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati. The airport is at Santacruz East for domestic travel and at Sahar for international travel. It has two railway lines one operating on western line and the other on central line. Generally trains are very crowded and one has to be careful about pickpockets. Siddhivinayak temple is in the heart of the city. This is the most famous Ganesha temple . A visitor to Mumbai must visit Elephanta caves which can be reached from the Gateway of India opposite the Taj mahal hotel by taking a ferry. Mumbai has some top class hotels viz Taj , President, Hilton , Hyatt , Leela Kempinski, Grand Maratha , Ramada Inn palm Grove, Lands end at Bandra . The most aspect about Mumbai is the movie industry - Bollwood and is home to cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and former Miss World and India's arguably most beautiful woman , Aishwarya Rai. The Prince of wales museum is also in the city. A walk along the beaches is refreshing. A stay in a top 5 star hotel could cost you INR 8000 per night or US $ 200 approx.
