This was actually a pretty decent Italian restaurant, which I didn't expect to find in Ulaan Baatar. And the interior is fantastic; there are all manner of things mounted on the walls and in glass cases.
We ordered pasta dishes, and got very tasty and authentic fare. It was what I really needed, because I'd been feeling a little under the weather. We were the only people in the place, which seemed a bit of a shame.  Part of the Round the World: 2005-2006 (St Petersburg to Hong Kong) travel blog |

We were met at the station by our tour guide, Zobloo, who took us to a nearby hotel for a much needed wash and breakfast. The hotel was run by Japanese so it had a traditional Japanese bath house. There were a few grumbles from those not…… Ulaanbaatar, 23rd July 2007 |

8hours off road driving to get to the nomads was interesting - only got a bit scared that the van seemed like it was going to turn over! The family were lovely. Tried milk tea - bit like warm milk really, something that looked like fudge and turned …… Mongolia - the short version |
