Another beautiful medieval town that winds its way up a hill, to the top of which rests the Marburg castle.  The 12th century caslte is now a museum containing stone age finds, medieval armor and weapons, religious treasures, paintings,and houshold furnishings from the 13th through 19th centuries. On our walk through Marburg we came upon 300 year old cemeteries, a student demonstration in the market square, and enjoyed a lovely afternoon coffee and cake at a restaurant by the castle.
