Marblehead is set apart from the usual hustle and bustle of the Lake Erie shoreline. It will quickly tug at your heartstrings and you'll want to return. A very small town just minutes in between Sandusky and Port Clinton, Marblehead includes antique shops, a working lighthouse, history, and locally owned restaurants. The small town is most busy in the summer months. You will find locals have a great amount of pride in their community and are very welcoming to visitors.
Relaxation is the overall feel of this small town. If you are interested in history, the area includes the site of the first battle of the War of 1812, along with Johnson’s Island, a Civil War POW Prison and cemetery for confederate soldiers. There’s a prehistoric forest, nearby waterpark, and model train exhibit and store for the kids or kids at heart. Numerous shops with local crafts line the streets. No matter what your age, Marblehead is a great stop on your Lake Erie tour.

We stopped at Spill the Beans coffee shop before heading onto the downtown ferry for Kelley's Island. If you're looking for friendly atmosphere and a great cuppa' before heading over on the island, go to Spill the Beans. It's within easy walking distance.

I decided to take a cross country road trip to gatlinburg tenn. on the way I stopped at friends places and expanded my road trip after the original cabin trip in gatlinburg, I head east to North Carolina to the outer banks, up north to MD to N.Y. withsights in between. after I left New York, I went thru PA to Ohio and spent a week there and had Tday with some friends. I headed south thru WV,VA, IN, MO, ARK, and MS back thru L for a few weeks b4 heading back to calif
