Maracaibo Vacation Guide
Maracaibo is situated on Lake Maracaibo on the Western half of Venezuela. It is considered the Oil capital of Venezuela due to the vast number of production plants and refineries.
Located about 60 miles south of Curacao, this medium sized city is home to some of the same pestering problems that persist in Caracas. The noticeable difference is some of the friendly and good natured student population.

Venezuela is an amazing place. Much different than i expected as it was my first South American country which i assumed would be just like Central America. I found myself in small village towns with dirt "roads"...to large modern cities with 7 story malls!
