Manufaktura

I have written a little bit about it in my journal entry, but now I would like to write a review because now Manufaktura is like the most important place to visit in Łódź. There will be of course more photos. But later.
Manufaktura is a huge entertainment center in Lodz. It was opened in 2006. The word „manufaktura” from Latin means of course „handmade”. Manufaktura wasn’t built from the scratch. It was renowated from the old textile factories owned in the begining of XX century by Poznański’s family. So the buildings itself are from the year 1871. So it was rebuilded now in order to preserve the old spirit of factories but also make something intresting insted of tearing the place apart.

There is also a huge center square where different events are being organized. During the winter they prepare a skating ring, and in the summer there is an artificial beach where you can play volleyball. Concerts and all types of shows are also held there.

So what can you find in Manufaktura?

mall are similar everywhere
- 60 restaurants
japanese, chinese, spanish, polish, jewish, etc, etc.
- pubs and discos
Paparazzi, Elektrownia, etc
- Cinema City
- Aquarium
Which is great. They have very interesting species there. And it's a good idea to have a guide there. They really know a lot of interesting things.

Place that presents scientific experiments in funny, interesting way. Great for families
- Bowling/ Climbing/ Billard/ Game Center
- Museum of textiles

- 4 star hotel

- The Small Theatre
It's a private theatre, doesn't belong to the city.
- Fitness club and skate park
They are still restoring more and more factories- in the future there are plans for "International Center of Fasion Promotion".
