A beautiful village nestled in the rainforest on the pacific coast of Costa Rica. Relatively small, this village is accessed only through Quepos where you can either catch a bus in or drive.
Technically, Manuel Antonio starts as soon as you leave Quepos and head up the hill. this initial part is home to a large number of hotels and restaurants. At many places along this road you can stop to admire the incredible view of the pacific and the rainforest below. The last part of the road leads you down onto the beach where the road then does a full circle and returns to Quepos. It is here that you acn see the amazing National Park which is home to a lot of wildlife.

Sarah and I decided after breakfast that we wanted to spend the day seeing as many beaches as we could since the weather was perfect. So, our first stop twenty minutes away from Playa de Jaco was Playa de Hermosa. It is apparently the best surfing beach in Costa Rica. As you can see from the pictures the waves were a sight to behold. Our next stop ten minutes away was Playa de Esterillos Oeste. There we chose to sunbathe for a couple of hours. It was r...

Today was the our last day in Manuel Antonio. So we decided to just hang out at the beach. There is only one problem with that. I can usually only lay out on a beach for about 2hrs before I have to get up and do something. So after about 2hrs I informed Eric I was going to walk down the beach, check out some shops, and if I am not back check the bars. So off I went. When Eric decided that he had enough of laying on the beach he decided to check the bars for me first. That was a good ide...

Manuel Antonio was great. The park was amazing and you could easily spend 3-4 days just wandering around in there. I spent a day on the beach going to the shops and laying out, two days in the park, and some time in Quepos. Staying in Quepos was much cheaper than staying in Manuel Antonio and it's just a quick bus ride to the park and area. :)

Wedding Day!!!!!
Let`s cut a long story short..... our wedding planner was just crap and so what should have been a hassle-free, everything-done-for-us day turned out to be the most stressful day of our lives. As our wedding planner was as good at her job as Cristiano Ronaldo is at staying on his feet , I ended up arriving at the beach an hour late. So what? you say, well we were getting married close to sun set so I had to be at the beach by a certain time if not we would have got marr...
