Smart, luxurious, not a tower block of identical rooms and away from the tourists Apr 05, 2008
This is a really smart place. Very comfy rooms (ours was the king jacuzzi suite) which had a huge bed (my feet didn't go off the sides when turned completely horizontal,) kooky decor (big armchair with cowskin colours) and an amazing bathroom.
The staff were friendly and not at all in your face and a reasonable breakfast was served. It's about 15 minutes from the main drags of Miraflores and there's some busy roads to cross with some manic Lima drivers so it might not be to everyone's ideal location tastes. Having said that it's on a pretty quiet residential side road away from the bustle. We stayed there for our last night on our 3 month S America trip and it was perfect! I was busy working and updating my blog when I got a PM from a TB. Her name was Jenny and spoke a perfect Spanish. Oh well, she was Peruvian, hahaha, but living in the USA for 4 years. So she felt as a stranger in her own hometown and wanted to meet…… 2 Peruvian girls together :) |

I tried to meet Jimmy a couple of months ago when he visited Peru, but unfortunately we couldn't... Anyway, he was planing another trip to Peru and let me know he'd be back in town. Lima wasn't his main destination, but he had to stop here so meetin…… Finally met Jimmy and Craig was back in town :) |
