"Real Food for Real Appetites" is what the internet site says about this wonderful little café in Oakridge, Oregon. I was totally surprised to find a site at all. This small town of less than 4,000 that has been there for many decades and probably began as a logging community and has had this café since its early days. Its has a great reputation all over town and is well known for its homemade bread pies and soups. The prices are quite low, but be prepared to either wait for a table or share it with someone. The evening we ate there we shared a table with another couple. By the way, almost everyone were locals, a very good thing in my eyes. This place is small but very worth visiting.

GREAT FOOD & FUN Jul 20, 2007
This great little café in the small community of Oakridge has been around for years and draws the locals out to dinner often. The town only has a population of less than 4,000 so keeping a diner going is no small task. It has a great reputation all over town for its homemade bread, pies and soups. Prices are quite low, but in the evening (and I’m sure at lunch too) you may have to share a table or wait for one to open. We shared a table with a local couple and had good conversation about the area. Everyone knows each other and the jokes and banter made this a fun place to eat, and the food was terrific!
