Manly Beach Travel Reviews

Jun 11, 2007
Manly Beach is by far the better of Sydney's famous beaches. Compared to its counter part Bondi it is bigger, much nicer to get to, and far less crowded. If coming from Sydney head to Circular Quay and hope on the Manly Ferry or Jet Cat (For faster ride, although the ferry ride is half the fun). The ferry drops you and Manly Wharf, from there enjoy restuarants and shopping on your way through the Corso and to the large sandy beach. For best places to grab a drink before heading back on the ferry stop at Wharf Bar right on the wharf, one of Sydneys best bars.

The northern beaches are much nicer than their more famous counterparts... much less crowded as well. A favourite of mine is Palm Beach.

Whilst at Manly check out Shelly Beach which is a good scuba diving spot...
Another excellent beach on the Northern Beaches is Freshwater...
