Mangosteen is a fancier breed of Vietnamese restaurants, though not too fancy. It's just a nice atmosphere in the small restaurant, with beautiful paintings and interesting lamps and fans as well as a really nice restroom (you come to appreciate these things in San Francisco). Everything I've tried on their menu is great, and the many people that I have brought here agree. My favorite is their stir fried tofu and vegetables with garlic noodles. Their garlic noodles are my favorite in whatever form they come (like with their five spice chicken at lunch). They have a vegetarian menu as well as many meat options. They even serve fresh young thai coconuts and healthy mangosteen juice as their name would suggest. Be careful, they are closed on Sundays.

Thanks for the review, I just had mangosteen for the first time at a vietnamese restaurant here in Los Angeles, tasted kind of weird but good!
