Delicious Peruvian food + great location: Mango's Sep 29, 2007
This is a nice place. I love the fact it's located in Larcomar - a mall in front of the sea in Miraflores - so you have a great view!
Try to get a table outside, so you will get a better view. In summer, the fresh wind will be perfect, but don't worry if it's a bit windy in Winter, just look for a table next to the heaters, hehe. If you can't find a table outside, they have big windows, so no problem Mango's is a nice Restaurant. I recommend the lunch buffette. So, you will be able to try different peruvian dishes - appetizers, entrees and desserts. Ask for a Pisco Sour or a Cocktail with Pisco at first. I recommend the Maracuya sour. And they have Happy Hour from Mo - Thursday, 7pm - 11pm yay! With the food you can either have a soda (ask for Inca Kola - a peruvian one) or beer (my favorite is Cuzquena). Their juices are good too, but thick. They serve also breakfast - a buffet is also available, tea time - also with a buffet, besides dinner. You can eat here or just have some drinks with friends. Regarding the Happy Hour, be sure to let the waiter know you want the Happy Hour; otherwise they will bring you the regular drink at regular prices. The Happy Hour include some pisco cocktails - of course the classic Pisco Sour is there - margaritas, caipirinha, sex on the beach, and martinis, hehe. The environment is really nice and the service is good. I like the music there, perfect to chill out. The decoration of the place is great too. Also Larcomar and Miraflores are cool places. Mangos Jun 20, 2009
There is a mangos restaurant at the clift of Miraflores (Peru).
It is my favourite place to ask for a Rissoto with shrimps.... You can go there for a lunch or to get a drink with the ocean view and watching people doing paragliding . |

Yadi's TB-Meetup place?!.. Well worth it! :) Feb 22, 2008
Mango's is a great restaurant, and I think our friend Yadi has some connections here, cause we got a GREAT table on the edge of their balcony, overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean! We could also see the giant cross in the distance, which was put up in the '80s for the arrival of the Pope.
We enjoyed different flavors of Pisco drinks (one with orange, one had something that made it taste like chocolate!) We also enjoyed an appetizer of Yuquitas a la Huancaína - a potato and cheese dish. Our experience here was very cordial and enjoyable, and Yadi invited another TB friend named Romain, and we all had a great time socializing. Overall this was a very nice restaurant, which definitely gets frequented by TB-ers! ;) Part of the Peru!!! 20-29 Feb 2008 :-D travel blog |

This definitely is the best restaurant I came across in Peru. The food is amazing, and the view is unprecedented. The restaurant sits a few hundred meters away from the ocean, elevated so that most tables can see the ocean. The phenomenal food is served as part of a buffet that consists of everything imaginable. And a few colorful things that I had never seen before, and was afraid to try. I did try guinea pig at this restaurant, and I loved it! Far better than chicken, which all of my friends seemed to compare it to.
The deserts were great. Plenty of fruit and chocolate. Eat there. Part of the Spring Break in Peru travel blog |

So we went back to Larcomar to a restaurant called Mangos! :-) We got a GREAT table out on the edge of the deck with a view of a the coast. In the distance was a large lit-up cross which was built back in the 1980's for when the Pope came to visit… Fun activities and new International friends! |
