Mandarin Oriental Hotel Aug 04, 2009
Was working with my cousin in Miami. I stayed here for 2 nights. Its just across the bridge on Brickell Island. Its a 10-15 min drive to SoBe from here.
You really get what you pay for here. Room was excellent and had a great view of the city of Miami. Staff were polite and helpful with directions and recommending places to go. I forgot to give the valet parking guy my car keys. I think it automatically shutdown and caused a bit of a problem in the parking area :) They were pretty nice about it and kindly asked me to provide the keys. Guests were mostly families and business ppl. The pool area was always filled with kids. Didn't see a hot tub, but I'm sure they had one. They have a gym and spa area. Also have a small made up beach area facing the city of Miami. I would recommend staying here if your on a business trip. If your single on vacation. I would recommend staying somewhere closer to SoBe. |

I love this hotel. I got a tour to see the main suites there. They have excellet views and is in a great location. You must get up early though to get breakfast here. Order the Eggs Benedict and a fruit smoothie. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The staff/servers are extremely nice and down to earth as well. Two thumbs up.
