the only Chinese Restaurant in Jerusalem Mar 09, 2014
After almost two weeks of no rice consumption, we began to long and crave for it so on the glimpse of a Chinese Restaurant we got off to the next tram station and walked back to where it is located.

This is the only Chinese Restaurant in Jerusalem. And is distinctively located right where the heart of Jaffa Road. Housed in the second floor of the building, so we climbed up to a black staircases and then come face to face to a door painted in the strongest shade or red with Chinese characters written on it. I actually like red colors so that is fine!

It reads from the welcome signage that this restaurant is open 24/7 including Shabbat Holidays.

This restaurant has been around since the 1950s so if it’s still existing up till now, they must be doing the right thing – good customer service, quality food and a smart marketing strategy.

We entered into the main dining hall, and a waitress came to meet us by the door and ushered us to a table. The restaurant was practically empty but after a few minutes, we saw some other group of people coming in slowly but continuously. The waitress was very patient, gave us a few to decide which dish to order. It was quite a task to pick a dish because of the long list of selections but of course we ordered for fried rice! The mushroom dish is tasty – I like the sauce they added into it. The price range is quite way above our budget so we only ordered the fried rice and the mushroom dish. Their servings are relatively generous.

I hope they’re still be there the next time we visit the city so that when I crave for Asian taste, we surely know where to go!

I ate there too. The food was good, and they accept credit cards.
