Sunday morning and once again beautiful crisp air and not a cloud in the sky. The view from the ski house balcony over looked the village and Lake Crowley, just beautiful! This morning I decided to sit out on the balcony, drink my coffee and play some trance rhythms on my drum, awwwh so awesome!

Having got caught up in rush hour in San Fran we were behind schedule and had to nail it to our next destination. It got dark and suddenly we hit some winding roads and in trying to find full beam I turned off the lights half way up a mountain. Fortunately we could not see how far down it was. Got …

I have taken the road trip between Los Angeles and Mammoth Lakes many times, after the most recent trip, I thought maybe I should document it. It's about 320 miles on mostly 4 lane highway in the high desert and Owens Valley. The turnoff into Mammoth Lakes is a short 10 minute drive which often requires snow chains in the winter, but all together an easy drive people do regularly in about 5 hours (6 if you drive the speed limit, which is rare for California.)

We did about a five mile hike in order to get to the falls. During the summer day visitors have to take a shuttle into the park and then hike…

Devils postpile is a rock formation or hexagonal columns. It's pretty interesting to see, but not too exciting. There is a nice waterfall that I hiked out to and it was a nice stop for that morning before driving home.
