Mama's Vegetarian is a small joint located on 20th St (Between Market and Chestnut) in Center City. The large falafel sandwich is 5 bucks, and is more than enough to fill most hungry people. The most expensive items on the menu are some of the platters, which are still only $7.50. These prices makes it a logical choice for travellers trying to save a buck.

The pita bread is baked daily and includes both white and whole wheat, and their falafel balls are the best I have ever had - a nice, crisp outside, and a soft, well-seasoned inside.

Aside from falaffel, the also serve other standard issue items such as eggplant sandwich, borekas, latkes, etc. Also available are desserts and a variety of domestic, as well as regional bottled drinks.

Since the place is small, the seating is also somewhat limited. There are about 6 tables or so inside, 4 seats at a bar, and I believe 2 tables outside. Also, this place is closed on Saturdays, which is not good.

It sounds very good, I should have known that before going to Philly...
