Mamallapuram Vacation Guide
Mamallapuram is a sleepy town on the Bay of Bengal, about 65km south of Chennai in Tamil Nadu State. It has a sleepy atmosphere and is a traveller friendly town with lots of accomodation options and restaurants. Shopping oportunities also abound. The town is firmly on the travel path for those touring Souhern India and although affected by the 2004 Tsunami, the recovery here has been much quicker than some other parts of this coast.
The town has lots of sights to see including Krishnas' Butter Ball, a rock seemingly balance precariously on a rockface, lots of temples carved intricately into solid rock. The town still has an abundance of stone masons and finely detailed stone carvings are asolid souvenir takeaway.

He's studying hard in Delhi for various civil service exams, in the hope of a job for life. It was good to hear all hi…
