Mama Loo's Nassau Reviews
Mar 01, 2006
The name of this restaurant is unassuming—and misleading. Mama Loo's is light years away from any mom-and-pop Chinese eatery in the Western world. It's chic and sophisticated, serving expensive gourmet variations of Chinese fare.
This fusion menu sounds like it shouldn't work. But, the Caribbean-Chinese dishes created here are delicious and like nothing else you have experienced. Try the wok-fried ginger grouper, Kung Pao chicken with chile sauce or the Bahamian lobster in a black bean sauce. The sleek decor is also a fusion with Chinese lacquer furniture, paintings and ceramics alongside Bahamian plants and local music. It all works together to create a wonderful dining experience.
Dress to impress. As with many Atlantis restaurants, this place offers an elegant dining experience.
