So I feel as I've been held captive for the last couple of days on this sleepy island. Whiling away my time between cigarettes on the balcony and trying to steal wifi from across the bay. Short of suspending myself from a rope, I've literally done anything and everything to get online! So today the …

I press snooze a couple of times, interrupted sleep, again. I am up by 8:45, anyway. It's partly cloudy, a few of then even black and windy. Annie tells me to take a jacket. She insists. I have my breakfast quickly. I only have until 1pm. My flight is at 3pm. My first stop is St. John's Co-Cathedr…

When Grand Master Jean Parisot de la Valette laid the foundation Stone of Hamulissima Civitas Valletae, the last thing that he had in mind was a city of fine palaces. Valletta was intended to protect the two harbours on either side of the rocky peninsula on which it was to be built.

Getting to Gozo and first impressions

I said a fond farewell, to Gozo, a place that surprised me with it's treasures natural and manmade. I hope to see you again soon! I board the ferry, taking in a few final shots of Mgarr and the harbor. The channel crossing was uneventful even with quite a chop on the water. The sun was high and br…

So much religion I’ve never seen or felt before anywhere else… Here are lots of pictures, take a look and plan your next holidays in Malta–unforgettable memories!

Malta was pleasant for one week as the island is small. One of the main attraction is the churches. The buses are a fun experience and cheap. Don't go to Malta for beaches despite water is crystal clear, a lot of them are rocky and small. Gozo has nicer beaches.
