Malta International Airport
Malta International Airport Luqa Reviews
Malta International Airport Jul 07, 2010
Malta International Airport is the only airport in the country so if you travel to the tiny island, you'll probably go through here! Quite modern and clean this airport is a former Royal Air Force base before Malta was granted its indepenance from the United Kingdom and the airport underwent a major refurbishment to make it more civilian-friendly afterwards.
There's buses from the airport but most run towards the capital Valletta. If you want to get anywhere else, its a quite reasonable taxi rate. Best bet is to book ahead of arrival with your hotel. Can't say much else about the place as I went through very quickly both on arrival and departure. It seems very organised, perhaps a hangover from its military days.
