Malmo is one of those places most people would only really go to because Ryanair chooses to fly there. As a tourist hot spot it's a bit lacking in, well, things to do. Especially heading in to winter. Anyway, we'd not been to Sweden, flight cost 0.02p return (plus tax of course) and we had not a lot to do that weekend in any case. The trip got off to an slightly delayed start courtesy of the always-organised Ryanair. We spent about an hour sitting around waiting to take off, before we were to...

From Copenhagen, it is easy to travel to Malmo, Sweden. Today we went there by train. In about 20 minutes we were in Malmo.
The weather was bad and we choose a bad day: May 1 is a national holiday. Almost every shop is closed. But it is a nice city...

We flew into Copehagen and got the short train over the bridge to Malmo. Once we arrived at the station we were feeling a bit lazy and decided to get a taxi. We knew price of the taxi (like everywhere else in the world) wasn't going to be cheap and there were other ways of getting to the hotel, like walking but we went for the taxi option anyway. 6mins later we had paid 200Kr !

An amazing two week vacation with a group of 10 people. It was a very packed schedule and we were always on the go, but we did get to see 8 countries! It's hard to pick the most memorable part of the trip because I can honestly say that I enjoyed every moment of it :)

Copenhagen Denmark to Malmo Sweden: 6/1/08
Last
night was just like sleeping in a train yard. Oh wait I basically did
sleep in a train yard! Around 02:00 I was woken by a train thundering
down the track just feet away from the window. I just about jumped out
of my bed; I had no idea where I was at first and what was going on. My
first thoughts were I was either in an earthquake or the Luftwaffe was
bombing the city. I ...

So on to our next destination. We left Denmark by catching the train over to Malmo, a little town which bridges Sweden with Denmark. Was a bit wierd as the trip only took 40 mins. Its meant to be a great sight crossing the bridge but as it was dark we just pretended to be amazed..hehe. So we got off the train with not much of a plan...as all the trains were fully booked for onward journeys to Stockholm we decided to spend the night there. Literally. In the station. We set up camp on and behind...
