Malmaison Manchester Reviews
Malmaison Nov 15, 2009
Although the Malmaison is a hotel, I have never stayed there. I have, however, eaten in the restaurant, which is fully open to the public.
Malmaison restaurant serves More-or-less-European cuisine. The dishes are often French in feel, but make a point of mentioning the local sourcing for the produce. The ingredients are al top quality. The Steak Frites are excellent - there are very few places where I can specifically remember thinking the chips are amazing, adn tehy are. And tehy actually serve your steak how you asked for it to be served.
It isn't cheap, with two courses and non-alcoholic drinks adding up to twenty five pounds per head at the time of writing. they also add service automatically, which at least saves you having to do the maths. But I think that this is fair for the quality of the ingredients, and you could certainly pay a lot more for a lot less in the UK.
The surroundings are lovely, with nice lighting, comfortable chairs, and plenty of space. The staff are polite and friendly without being obtrusive, adn hang your coats up for you.
