Maldron Hotel Tallaght

Quite far outside of Dublin city centre but with shopping mall, restaurants, bars and motorway/metro links nearby. The hotel itself is superb, not only the restaurant and the spar/swimming pool facilities but the rooms as well. The standard rooms are spacious with the usual amenities: en suite, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, trouser press, TV.

The bar is expensive but in comparison with Dublin prices it's actually cheaper than you'll fine elsewhere. The service in there is top class and the food is quality too.

€5.40ish for a day pass on the metro (adult) means you can come and go as you please for a decent price.

advice for airport: flybus http://www.flybus.ie/ €8 adult 5€ student one-way to the airport from The Square shopping centre (2 minutes walk from hotel). This is a much cheaper option than a €53+ taxi ride!
