Its the same with Beijing - they turn the lights off at 10pm. It was really annoying as it happened to me one day when i was taking a photo :D

Anyone who wants to take a good shot must do it before midnight because the lights will be turned off after 12am. The view of Petronas twin tower from KL tower is amazing too. Get to see the whole view at similar height.

The best view is actually from the skytower, because then you get to see the Petronas Towers! Its a real landmark wherever you are in the city though!
