To decide where to got to next we used the very procedure of random pointing. Basically we opened our guide book to the Malaysian section and randomly chose a destination. Not sure what page we ended up on but we "chose" Penang. Penang is an island state just off the northwest coa…

The trip to Pulau Redang is just beautiful though i was stung by a jellyfish! Fishes seem like me very much, anytime I was in the water, they just came and surround me lol. I met a nice guy there Sidy who taught me snorkeling. It was great to see the lovely creatures! I need to go there again. I had my mid-autumn day on the plane, seeing a full full moon from the window. Everything is just beautiful and unforgetable. I'm young enough to explore more!

We planned to stay in Kuala Lumpur for just 24 hours. I thought it would be sufficient enough to be
able to see KL’s highlights or so I thought.
We arrived in KL from Singapore via Transnasional Bus, which
dropped us off at the bus station that we assumed was the main termina…

I visited Borneo with my parents as the first part of our main family holiday in the Summer of 2000. We had an amazing time...I went scuba diving in the South China Sea, I got my rear end really badly sunburned on my first day (Mum and Dad had flown out with another couple from Bothwell they're fri…

I don’t know how to begin this story, so I guess I’ll start at the end of it. This has been an unforgettable journey into the very best of me; -- I set myself free to be myself and I was just me, all the time… I’ve got to know a new world full of wonderful people, landscapes, dreams, and lo…

After Singapore we got the bus to Malacca. It's an old style town. When we arrived off the coach we got on a local bus to the hostel, it was definately an experience, we got some funny looks! It was so hot we were melting! Checked into a hostel and then went to explore. We went round a recreation o…

It is 3am. Kim is rather sick from both ends ... it is like Revenge of the Pharoah meets Linda Blair from Exoricist.
We went to the doctor just to satisfy ourselves that the dehydration isn’t too severe that it would affect his kidneys (which were recently impacted by another event)…

Didn't do much in Sandakan as the excursions cost a lot, but truly enjoyed the cheap seafood! Had a nice time at Manukan Island (KK)... Clear water, beautiful corals & lots of fish :O)

The humid jungle of Kuala Lumpur greeted me as I stepped off of the
plane on the evening of March 23rd. Well in all reality, the urban
sprawl of KL is actually about 45 min drive from the airport, which is
a little far for an international airport if you ask me.
By the time I arrived into…

My first impressions are not great...by the sea front in the city itself it is very smelly during the day with rotting fish permeating everything. The humidity is tremendous and the people don't seem to be as friendly as they were in Kuching. That said as the sun started to go down the night market…

Today we decided to see some of the sights. We decided to go to the Petronas Twin Towers first as we heard it can get quite busy. When we arrived it turned out that you basically get a ticket (entrance was free) with a time on it, so you can come back at the alotted time. A great system as you can …
