We spent today walking around the city soaking up the sights and sounds of the various areas. After a Thosai Massala (pancake stuffed with vegetables) for breakfast we wandered down to Little India. We might have just eaten but it was lunchtime so many of the food stalls were set …

I had an easy three hour flight into Kota Kinabalu. I found my guesthouse, which was nice,
grabbed some lunch and waited to get picked up for my proboscis monkey
cruise. It was about a two hour drive to
where the cruise would take place and it poured the entire way there. We wa…

I’m trying to find the words to describe the weekend that just passed. It’ll be safe to surmise that it was pretty eventful and took a lot out of me too.
I’d been looking forward to the Sunburst Music Festival that was held in Kuala Lumpur on Mar 15 recently. The festival covered 12 hours of…

Taiping is a town in Malaysia's north, less than an hour from Ipoh (south) and Penang (north). I've always thought of it as a small town; both my parents were born there and on previous visits, it always appeared small and somewhat backwards. Times change and people change, and I suspect Taiping ha…

Out of sheer exhaustion, as soon as I got on my seat in my flight to Kuala Lumpur I was knocked out. Best 50 minute nap ever!
Serves me right for staying up for almost 40 hours straight. I finished almost everything I was supposed to do before I left the office ... ALMOST! I'm guessing they'll sti…

This island is beautiful. My two friends and I left Singapore at 7am in the morning on a coach from Golden Mile complex (where the travel agency is) and headed towards Mersing jetty in Malaysia. It was approximately a 3-hr journey to the jetty, with a couple of stopovers for a quick munch/toilet br…

Our adventure began with a 4-5 hours bus ride from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands. It is very much depend on the bus drivers; sometime I got very sick because of the winding roads however I was ok in some of the bus trips. There was one time when we traveled from Cameron Highlands, the bus broke…

The trip to Pulau Redang is just beautiful though i was stung by a jellyfish! Fishes seem like me very much, anytime I was in the water, they just came and surround me lol. I met a nice guy there Sidy who taught me snorkeling. It was great to see the lovely creatures! I need to go there again. I had my mid-autumn day on the plane, seeing a full full moon from the window. Everything is just beautiful and unforgetable. I'm young enough to explore more!
