Malaysia Hotel Bangkok Reviews
Be Careful! Sep 17, 2009
Be carefull to secure your personal belongings. We had some items which were stolen from our locked rooms. We highly suspect the cleaning staff but have no proof. Police investigation did not come out with any result. Evaluation of total loss is approx. 450 Euros! Manager just claim that we should have put everything in the hotel safe... OK, but this is the very 1st time in 30 years of travel around the world that have such bad experience in an hotel... So better avoid this hotel.

This was the first hotel I stayed at when I visited Thailand. The rooms are not bad, though the hotel could use some renovations. I got it because I wanted a location within walking distance of Silom area...but not IN Silom to avoid the grunginess. This hotel has its grungy elements too, but for people looking to stay in a hotel of this price range, I wouldn't discourage it. It was a bit of a maze through the narrow lanes to get back here though. Ask the hotel staff the best way to get in and out (on foot). Another bit of advice...avoid the restaurant here at all costs. The food is really poor and suspect! You would do better to eat a bag of chips from the nearby 7-11.
