A day never to forget. It starts with a coffeestop in a Salmonhouse. Not many people there, but a lot of Salmon. Next stop was at a small river. We just enjoyed the nature and getting back we could walk throught the forest instead of going by bus. I decided to walk the small tour and after that we all took a tour called: Roaring Billy walls in te Wahipounamu. That would take us in 20 minutes in the native forest. Our first stop today was at lakes Wanaka and Hawea, renowned for their mountain reflection but unfortunately the wind was quite choppy and the mountains bathed in cloud so we couldn't see the reflections OR the mountains! We then carried on driving along the Glacier road, stopping off to see some distant seals and to take photos at the Gates of Haast creeks. Good sleep, good time getting ready on Friday morning, crispy sunny weather and off we go to Queenstown. We stopped for breakfast and jetboat ride at Makarora which was fun. We also stopped at Wanaka where some of us (me included) went to the Puzzleworld and tried the maze. Others went to the city itself. We then drove to Queenstown.
