Mak Man Kee noodle shop Hong Kong Reviews
Awesome noodle shop! Jan 21, 2012
In the old downtown of Jordan area, there's a small noodle bar called "Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop".
It's always packed with local people and you may have to wait in a line if it's lunchtime, but it's totally worth waiting.
My favorite dish there is wonton noodle.
The wonton noodle they serve is really good, and I have never met any better one yet.
The wonton was made from really fresh shrimps and was soooo juicy. It tasted a very rich flavor of sesame seed oil and I could enjoy the good texture of shrimps.
And they don't use MSG at all and the taste of the soup is very mild.
The noodle itself is served with a small portion and you can visit there even you are after some meal!
The price for the noodle is HK$28 (about US$3) and it was totally worth for money. If you need to make it well balanced, order youchai (boiled rape flowers topped with oil) with oyster sauce.
Their another specialty is beef noodle but I haven't tried it yet. I would try it next time and update the review.
