1 Dover Street, London, United Kingdom
Mahiki - The 'tresure chest' that awaited me on arrival.
Mahiki - Me looking a little bit merry. You'll notice the pineapple full of cocktail, and my Baron Samdei brew, apptly placed in a mug of the loa himself!
Mahiki - More pictures of the lavish interior.
Mahiki - A picture of the dancefloor, not very good for showing the actual floor I admit, but it is very small. The point of the picture is to show the decoration for the venue.

Drinks way too expensive! Apr 15, 2012
Typical London club music, can be good can be terrible...very charts music! The theme is a lovely one, Hawaiian. Would make for a very good night if it wasn't so damn busy! Also the drinks are way too expensive if you're on A budget, I personally don't drink alcohol and as paying £5 for a cola! Overall a good time however with friends for dancing etc. People can be very unfriendly as always in a London club some very snobby people who will glare at you with death stares if you accidentally bump into them! I wouldn't bother getting a table, so expensive and if you're there to dance who needs a table, there is a bar upstairs where you can sit and have drinks before going to the disco area downstairs. When I went it was free entry for girls before 9:30 pm but the disco doesn't open untill 10:30 or 11 so you will be waitin around in the bar a long time for the disco to open if you are taking advantage of the free entry! Afterwards I believe it is £15 for males and females

P.s dress up as the door staff WILL turn you away if dressed too casually

A-list Jan 08, 2011
Mahiki is a premier spot in London, offering food, cocktails and a night club at the lower floor. Popular among celebrities, this venue can be guest list only, so checking in advanced may be nessisary. Although pricey, it is well worth looking into some advanced bookings if you have spare cash to spend.

A specialist in cocktails, there are many home made specials (all following the Hawaiian theme of the venue) as well as all the regulars. Cocktail prices range from £7.50 up to £125, with prices going up by double after 10pm. Other alcoholic beverages are served (beer, champaign) however in terms of price and value for money its better to stick to the cocktails (unless you are rich enough to afford the luxurous house special champaign, priced 'moderatly at £5500 per bottle!!)

The club as I mentioned has a Hawaiian theme, this includes the staff's work dress. There are two rooms, the club is located on the bottom floor, along with the toilets and one bar. Upstairs also only has the one bar, but provides tables and chairs for people who wish to eat/drink before heading to the dance floor. Due to its small size (avarage capacity is just over 200) it doesnt feel like a crowded venue. Standard club music is played.

The club has strictly high standards, smart casual minimum dress, no ripped jeans, trainers or tracksuits. I believe I heard its over 21's only, though I will need to double check this. Entry fee is £15 after 21:30 and I would imagine that it increases again after midnight. Mahiki is very strict about turning people aware who are intoxicated on arrival, it is a trap to get visitors to spend more money, so dont over do the pre-drinks before you arrive.

I have to admit, I throughly enjoyed my time in Mahiki, I was fortunate enough to get a guest list pass. Two 'tresure chests' were provided for my group on entry (these cost £125 each and serve up to 8). These were cocktail containers that are literally treasure chests, filled with fruit, umbrellas and even a sparkler or two. With only 7 to my chest it didnt take long to drain the delicious cocktail. Unlike my group, I was happy to spend a little extra cash on some of the most luxouris cocktails to get some of the different flavours that were provided. I highly recommend a 'Baron Samedi brew' should you visit the club!
