I skipped a meal in the train, wasn't really feeling like eating any junk on the way back. And I was already back home by 18:30, after the long train journey back. Home sweet home. Time to get back to working on all the things I had postponed....Till I get off my butt and write the overall summary and experience... some approximate travel distance stats in the meanwhile.Nagpur - 900 km - Agra (13.5 hrs - train)Agra - 190 km - Delhi (5 hrs - train delayed)Delhi - 270 km - Haridwar (5 hrs - tra...

The Airport at Mumbai is pretty standard as far as airports go on the Sub-Continent. The air con is overstretched but everyone seems happy.Watch out for false information on the luggage retrieval - I was directed to carousel 6 waited for 15 minutes watching bags and then was told the London flight was actually Carousel 3 - though the board still said 6....A word of warning - if you are catching an internal flight DO NOT LEAVE THE AIRPORT - if you do it is very difficult to et back in - I was ...

Sightseeing
Mumbai is home to many old ornate public buildings left over by the British. eg. railway stations, government offices, courthouses etc.
Our most memorable sight though is Dhoby Ghat where much of the city's commercial laundering takes place. Soiled linen from all over town are collected and marked in cryptic ways, then washed by beating against rocks, then sun-dried before being returned to their owners.
This was best viewed from an overbridge next to Mahala...

at last arrived India. As the pilot was announcing our arrival to Mumbai India, I was trying to get a glimpse of Mumbai from the plane. I could see lights across the country, the piece of land covered with glittering lights somehow looks really vast, at a point where I was confused if I was looking up to the sky or looking down staring at the city of Mumbai.
As soon as I grab my luggage from the rotating luggage claim counter I felt relieved from the long day travelling, alt...

Mumbay is amazing.. you wake up because of the 60.000 black and yellow taxis playing the horn, but taxi drivers are always smiling... so it's like a noisy game and you cannot get angry.
When I decided to go to India I did'n care about monsoons, but once there.. I had to. Also because of the poor children playing naked in the mud.
