Magnolia Cafe

Magnolia Cafe Saint Francisville Reviews
Good for authentic southern food! Jul 25, 2012
We were visiting the Myrtles plantation in St. Francisville with hopes to have lunch there, but we arrived just when the restaurant had closed. There are not many options in the surroundings, so we asked the plantation staff what would be a place to eat. They recommended the Magnolia Cafe, which seems to be St. Francisville's hot spot for food.
The place looks really small from the outside, it feels like getting inside someone's house. They had a lunch special consisting on beans and sausage, corn bread and salad and I decided to go for it. The plate looked gross (almost like slop, lol). But the taste was OMG. It was probably the most authentic southern food I've ever had. The waitress was very nice and friendly and service perfect. I totally recommend this place if you are arriving to Baton Rouge via St. Francisville or if you stopped at the Myrtles Plantation. It rocks! ![]()
