Magnetic Island was one of my highlights on the East Coast of Australia. Base Backpackers is a fantastic Resort! The staff are fantastic, the nightlife is good and the whole place in general has a great vibe. Plenty to do there whether it being the Koala Sanctuary or whether you just hire a moke and self drive around the island for a day!
Weather is fantastic pretty much all year round too! Great place to meet people. They also do a fantastic full moon party!
Dive school on site with canoe and snorkel hire also available.

Magnums backpackers on Magnetic Island isn't a patch on Base.
