Magic Samhain Bourtange Reviews
Magic Samhain Oct 30, 2011
On Saturday October 29 and Sunday October 30 the Magic Samhain Festival took place in Bourtange.
Unfortunately I couldn't go on Saturday - when the main day was - but I went to the fair on Sunday. So I got an imagination about things going on on Saturday.
Samhain is one of the oldest festivities of mankind. Witches and demons are present these days as well as elves, ghosts and druids.
There was a fair on both days where you could buy magic things and a wish tree was set up where you could leave your secret wishes (and hope they'll become true ;)). Different artists entertained the people with singing, dancing and fire works.
On different places in the fortress magical and mystical things took place.
A very spooky room was installed in an old barn. The fog was so thick that it was nearly impossible to take photos of the place. It was amazing. Some people came out the barn pale from fear ;)
All in all it was fun for the whole family and I make sure to go there again next year (if it will take place again).
The entrance fee for the fair only was € 1.
The entrance fee for the event on Saturday was € 5 for adults (€ 3 if you were disguised) and € 3 for children from 6 - 12 years (younger children were free)
