Maggie O'Brien's Restaurant and Irish Pub Saint Louis Reviews
Delicious Food, Good Prices Jul 23, 2010
Maggie O’Brien’s is a little Pub near Union Station in St. Louis. It is quite a few blocks (maybe 2 miles) from the arch, so not exactly within walking distance. We stopped here after visiting the Arch and were the only ones there for a late lunch. The restaurant has a main room with seating and a bar area.
Our server was very friendly and helpful. She gave some recommendations, and we were extremely happy with our choices. First off, most of us wanted an adult beverage and were pleased with the selections they had on tap. I had a Harp and others had Stella or Guinness.
For food, I had the O’Hen-esy, which was highly recommended by the waitress. It was a breaded chicken breast smothered in a cheese sauce. It came with your choice of potato or vegetable. I got the Irish potatoes, as recommended by the waitress. They were boiled red potatoes with seasonings. It was sooo delicious! They also have fish and chips, ribs, corned beef and cabbage, Irish beef stew, sandwiches, salads, and other Irish (and not-so-Irish) fare. Everyone was really happy with their choices and the prices were very reasonable.
We were there for a late lunch, so it wasn't busy. I'm guessing it gets much busier during meal times and late night.
