Countries I've Traveled To
Languages Spoken
Fluent in English, proficient in Chinese (Mandarin), some French, a little Spanish
Books you might find in my backpack
Music you might find me listening to while waiting for my plane
Most Memorable Travel Experience
Venturing into the hermit kingdom of North Korea as part of a student delegation representing the Pyongyang Project - seeing the gorgeous countryside, meeting the genuine people, and interacting with the local culture all served to provide a refreshing contrast from previous perceptions instilled in us by the Western media.
June 2011

Traveling over 2,500 miles from Casablanca, Morocco to Lisbon, Portugal via bus, train, and ferry. This month long odyssey afforded me an ephemeral glimpse into the wide array of peoples and vistas inherently unique to the lands straddling the gateway of the Mediterranean Sea.
December 2009 - January 2010

Abseiling down an 80-foot moulin on Exit Glacier in Alaska's Kenai Fjords National Park - crawling through wet, translucent ice tunnels at the bottom and then strenuously climbing back up using crampons and ice axes was a surreal experience!
July 2009

Watching boxing, diving, rowing, and track & field events during the 2008 Beijing Olympics in China. The iconoclastic Bird's Nest Stadium and the intricate Water Cube were superb!
August 2008

Scuba diving the entire length of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System from the Mexican gulf coast through the Belizean cayes to the Bay Islands of Honduras. Diving the freshwater cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula was icing on the cake!
December 2007 - November 2008

Catching my first billfish off of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - the acrobatic leaps, brilliant colors, and incredible runs of the 155 lb. striped marlin during the 20 minute fight were unforgettable.
March, 2006
As real as it gets.

No stress, no worries...
Life is good.
