Tañas and free tapas. You could get fat here, as everywhere you go you get food with your drinks. Cheap though, as no need to go to a restaurant.
Great for shops and bars.

hei mel!! Madrid in august is very hot so the best thing is to enjoy a terrace with a cold "sangria". How long you gonna stay? You should visit at leeast one of the 3 big museums (PRADO, Thyssen, Reina Sofia). The first one is the most important, Reina sofia is modern and thyssen is a mix of everything. You will find famous paintings on the 3. Go to Retiro Park, Gan Vía, Plaza del Sol, Plaza de Oriente, Plaza de España, Plaza Mayor, and enjoy the night life in Huertas, Malasaña, La Latina, Alonso Martinez... mostly everywhere in the town you gonna find party!! Enjoy lovely madrid
