Okay my titles are starting to get painfully cheesy.I went to
visit Susan and Pancho in Madrid. Madrid is beautiful, rich in culture
and history. And sun! And people know how to enjoy life - sangria,
siesta, talking the streets. Amazing.

I am back in Spain and happy to eat something and get some sleep. I feel like I havent slept in weeks.
Carlos met me at the train station which was really nice. I think I probably wouldve got lost I was so tired!
Today, we wandered around Madrid and found a nice park for a bit. Went out for some good food. Also went to an art gallery for a bit. It was nice to see another Monet painting. He is definately my favorite artist.

After 8.5 years, I have returned to the country that gave me the very
first stamp in my passport -- Spain! (though I had been to Mexico, The Bahamas, and Canada before). I was so excited to go back that I could barely sleep on
the plane. When we arrived at our hostal, Michelle almost sprained her ankle walking down the stairs, but that's another story :) It was
a bit early, luckily our Spanish skills weren't as rusty as we thought and
we understood from the recept...

I spent just one night in Madrid which was just enough time for me to realize that I needed way more time there. When I planned my Spain trip, I planned out some time in Barcelona and Ibiza but left four days open afterwards to allow a little flexibility on the trip. I always hit the ground and discover places that I haven't heard of but want to see, or I simply just have a simple change of heart and decide I want to be in one place rather than another. Anyways, vacati...

So finally I am on the move! Oh it feels soooo good to be on vacation again :)
Up to here things have gone up and down. Its been very hectic and stressfull lately. Im still not sure if I manage to finish the packing before the taxi came to pick me up... The only thing I am 100% sure of is that I can not carry everything that I have brought with me on the trekking. The backpack was 24kg when I checked it in and I guess the hand luggage is another 6-7 kg... Some how I need to get rid of a coup...

With some friends I traveled to the eastern Europe in a small car with all our luggage for almost a month. We went through France, Switherland, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland in the north, we went down through Slovaquia and Hungary and went back to Spain through the south, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and France.

The first stop in my one month travel portion of my study abroad trip. Madrid wasn't my favorite city of the 10 city tour, but it was beautiful none the less. Madrid was exactly how I envisioned Spain to be.
