Hi Franco!
I see you will be here in August, prepare yourself for the real heat. Anyway August 15th is a local holiday in Madrid, all this week you can find night festival (Especially during this day) near the "Palacio Real". You should avoid the worst heat hours, from 14:00 to 17:00. As other travbuddy suggests "El Retiro Park" could be a good choice, another important is "Parque del Oeste"; I think is better if you can visit a museum. My favourites are "El Prado" and "Thyssen Bornemisza". The most typical zones are: the surroundings of "Plaza Mayor", Chueca (Gayfriendly district) and "El Prado" zone. You will be here some days, you can make some one day journeys to Salamanca, Toledo, Segovia Cuenca and Ávila (Especially Segovia), all these places are World Heritage. Remember there are some Tourist transport Cards from 1 to 7 days, and 2 zones -A- (Madrid city) and -T- (Madrid city, Madrid province, including the trains and buses to Toledo), 1 day -A Zone- is 3.50EUR for unlimited uses, 7 days -T zone- is 36.70 EUR for unlimited uses. If you need more information let me know. Regards. |

the park was so beautiful, as in Autumn all leaves have a nice golden color which gives a different light to the park! But also was Saturday, so it was packed of all different kind of people; tourists, singers, people playing tons of different instruments... such a nice atmosphere! Then I sat down in one the nice cafeterias you have all around. I ordered… Sunny day in October |

My trip to the Metro was long since they were doing some construction on the most direct routes and I had to take 3 different trains to get there.
They Madrid airport is huge . My ticket said I needed to be at Terminal 4S (the S was for Satelite). Once I was in the airport I saw many signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3 but nothing… Headed for Dublin |

I couldn’t believe how absolutely empty I felt watching him as we boarded different trains when he left for the airport.
I will be honest….I haven’t heard much from X since we met. Perhaps he is busy. Perhaps we had very different interpretations of our time together. Perhaps he just doesn’t know… Madrid Day 1: Reina Sofia and meeting TB #2 |

Paugh had spoke of it in her lectures on language in different cultures. I cannot remember which area it was in, but they recorded communications with a series of knots on different colored strings. They also had some very old books, one by Voltaire which were impressive and even the museum itself was very modern. When… Exploring |
