Me and my friends loved this, we got to se a lot of Madrid. A very good way to do your sightsing:)But remember if you are taking a early bus, bring some warm clothes. We wanted ofcourse to sit on the top of the bus, but it was freezing!

City tour Feb 26, 2010
All day hop-on hop-off city tour.

Offering two routes: Historical Madrid (route 1, the red line) and Modern Madrid (route 2, the blue line). Both routes take about 75 minutes when you stay on the bus.

The ‘Historical Madrid’ route has 21 different stops. In my opinion this route is very good to get an overall impression of down town Madrid. The highlights of the city centre are all on (easy) walking distance from the stops.

The ‘Modern Madrid’ route has 15 stops. Actually I was somewhat disappointed by this itinerary. When you come up to the Bernabeú stadium (nice to see) you can see KIO (Kuwait Investment Offices) and CTBA (Cuatro Torres Bussiness Area) from quite a far distance. They are only pointed out briefly and then you turn to the right.

I think these area is the highlight of modern Madrid… and you miss it this way.

Price for an one day ticket is € 17, for two days € 21….. but I think one round (including the information provided in eight languages) is enough to find out what you prefer to visit and then better take the metro and walk!!

The busses operate daily, timetable depends on the season.

More information (including a map with the routes) on

The website is in 4 languages (Spanish, English, French and German).

The audio tour on the busses (headset) offers 8 different languages!
