Madrid's nightlife is amazing! It ranges from small dives to large discos and all are very accesible. If you are in the area for a long period of time I'm sure you will be able to find someting you like. A good place for college students is O'connels they have cheap drinks free tapas at 2am and evryone there is very open to meeting new people. If you want a good mix of internationals without that touristy feel i recommend hitting up The Monna Lissa and Bia. Small places but filled with great music, great people, relatively cheap and sometimes free drinks, no cover and lots of dancing! For the larger clubs I recommend Palacio something(i forget the name and its the best one!) Chesterfields and for the completely out of hand Kapital. These clubs have multiple rooms with different music, more people, and higher drink prices with covers. Ask around for where they're located. I found all these places by just wandering through the night and having a friend that lives in town. Also, there is Chueca which is the gay district. The bars are actually really fun even if you are straight as are the techno clubs..

We walked around for quite awhile as it seemed that nothing was open at all. We finally found a bar...and it was pretty random. The place was called Garaje Sonico and it was pretty random. Dave was convinced that it was actually a gay bar. They… Back to Madrid to meet more friends! |
