Madam Tussauds Oct 05, 2013
Madam Tussauds wax museum, I got $8 off senior discount (over 60) on $29 ticket. Had my photo taken with sign saying "Just Married" after all, I had told co-workers & sons maybe I'd 'get lucky' and get married in Vegas! The statues are excellent, very real, capturing the celebs in their prime for the most part. We all age, but not these statues. There were no political statues and others were absent. A co-worker went to the one in NYC and saw different ones there, so I imagine they swap them around.

Leonardo, the Rock - eyebrow arched and all, Will Smith, looking fine, Oprah, Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp with long hair, Spiderman, Nick Cage, looking fine, fine, fine. Wayne Newton, Thor - the handsome Chris Hemsworth, various sports figures, Liberace, 007 Daniel Craig, even Alvin & chipmunks. No Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan, darn. Guess I'll have to check out Madam Tussauds in NYC when I go to see Ellis Island!

The Venetian's Wax Museum Apr 25, 2009
If you have been to Vegas several times before, this is a good alternative venue to see in lieu of all the performing shows you have grown accustomed to.

Though wax museums seem cheesy to me, there is actually some talent behind these creations and most of them are really pretty accurate and lifelike. That surprised me.

It is not often that one gets to stand next to George Washington and Lincoln and here you can have your picture taken with them capturing the amazing details in their faces.

From pop stars such as Elvis, J-Lo and Johnny Depp to Athletes like Tiger Woods and Shaq, to icons like Hugh Heffner (ick..... you can have your picture taken with him on a bed) and Princess Diana, Neil Armstrong, and Spiderman, this museum would appeal to a wide variety of looky-loos.

We didn't look for discounts anywhere so I am sure you can find coupons somewhere. Without discounts tickets are $25 for adults for about 1-1.5 hours of entertainment; much cheaper than a slot machine or a black jack table.

Pictures are allowed throughout.

There is also a gift shop where you can purchase any type of souvenir to remind you of this cheesy but entertaining place including photos of you and the President or videos touring the place to show others when you get home.

For those who aren't interested in seeing the museum there are plenty of places to sit and wait in the mall area just outside the museum.

Fun place. Its a bit on the pricey side for a museum BUT if you take a cab they have little Vegas guides in there and those have a coupon for the Wax Museum.

The museum itself is pretty cool, you can even touch the statues, a definite must see in Vegas.
