Loved it Mar 12, 2017
Even if you have been to the ''original'' in london a visit is suggested as it is somewhat different. It has the asia flavour and that made it very interesting.

I did enjoy my visit and had the chance to take lots of photos as i usually do.

Combine it with a visit to the aquarium and a meal or a snack at the shopping center and you have a very good day. The dolls museum is close also so all 3 make a good ''cluster'' of attractions to see in one day and i am sure you can find something else to fit also.

Touristy and Pricey Dec 12, 2011
After living in Bangkok for almost 2 years, it was about time I did some of the more 'touristy' things, and chose Madame Tussauds, which I realised after I wouldn't have regretted not going.

Madame Tussauds is located on the 6th floor of the Siam Discovery building, only a short walk from Siam BTS Station.

It is over priced for what you get - 800 baht per person single entry (Thai's get it cheaper, as do expats - if you can show a Thai ID card or ATM card the price is 450baht per person). You can also save 10% when you book online.

Inside is of course a variety of famous people from around the world - a lot of them being Thai and Asian. There is the King of Thailand, the Dalai Lama, Nichkhun, Picasso, Ghandi, Serena Williams, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Jackie Chan, Tiger Woods, Einstein and plenty more. You can take your photos with each and every one of them, and there is also a professional camera-person who will take your photo - you do have to pay approx 200baht per photo. It doesn't take long to walk through the museum - we were done within 2hrs, so don't expect it to take all day.

Inside the wax museum, there is a pretty big gift shop - which is reasonably priced, a wax hand-making station where you can make your own wax hand to take away (again for an additional cost), and plenty of information to tell you how they make the wax sculptures. And even though it is Thailand, they are made very well, and look extremely life-like.

If you've never been to a Madame Tussauds before, I would suggest checking it out, but if you have, then I'm sure you can find something else to do in Bangkok.
