Nice walk-through the story of "A Christmas Carol" Dec 17, 2013
Located on the 3rd floor of Macy’s, the Dickens Christmas Village is a nice Christmas attraction to do, and worth doing if you happen to be in Philly for the holidays. And something to do, if you have to wait a long time til the next Light Show.

This is a walkthrough attraction, through a series of displays, telling the story of the Charles Dickens’ classic, “A Christmas Carol”. It starts off with Dickens himself, giving an introduction. Then the story itself. In the end, you can have a visit with Santa Claus.

This is a nice attraction to see, and the displays do an impressive job of telling the story, some of which come alive. The artwork and attention to detail are just great to look at, and the story is interesting enough to follow. You can go at your own pace, and admission is free.

The attraction is open from Black Friday (the final Friday of November) to New York’s Eve. Definitely worth the time.

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol Dec 05, 2010
The Dickens Christmas Village at Macy's in Philadelphia is an animated portrayl of A Christmas Carol. After the Light Show in the Grand Court, visitors will go up the thrid floor of the store to see the moving model figures retelling of Charles Dickens famous holiday short story.

The narrated presentation, with moving figures in scenic displays closely follows the story. Marley's Ghost and the Ghost of Christmas Future are highlights! Visitors walk though the presentation, guided by attendants in Victorian attire.

At the end, Children can visit Santa Claus. But, holidaymakers of all ages will enjoy seeing it. I thought it was a lot of fun to see it and the model portrayl of the story.
