Foz do Iguacu, Brazil
Macuco Safari Foz do Iguacu Reviews
Expensive for what it is, but good fun Jun 07, 2009
I was talked into doing this tour by the guy from Hostel Bambu - it costs R$170 (about £55), which is a lot. It's an hour and half trip - the first part is just a jeep ride through some jungle (along a well worn path) and you don't really see much. The guides stop and talk to you about trees!
The main event is the rafting ride - it lasted about 25 minutes going down the Rio Parana/Iguacu towards the falls. I thought it was going to be properly rough and go right up the main waterfalls but it didn't, it went through some of the smaller ones.
Overall it was good fun and a decent trip, but I think the price (which is probably the 'foreigner' price) is over the top for what you get.
