Macondo Cusco Reviews
Tasty novo andino food in a cosy location Oct 04, 2009
As Macondo is owned by the same proprietor as Fallen Angel, which we absolutely loved, so we had to check out this second place as well.
Macondo, named after the bar in 100 years of solitude, is a cozy little artsy café type of eatery in the artisitic barrio of San Blas.
This artistic/ alternative atmosphere is present in the interior of Macondo as well. The place is decorated with lots of arts and funky findings. There are shelves with books, board games... This must be a cosy hideaway for rainy days too to enjoy a latte and a game of risk.
But we came for dinner and surely weren't disappointed with the food. The menu is not too extensive but features exotic and original combinations that taste devine. I didn't try the cocktails but fellow eaters told me they were excellent too.
Prices are high for peruvian standards, but in my opinion well worth the money.
