Macaabaela Restaurant Tbilisi Reviews
Macaabaela Restaurant Mar 23, 2013
I was starving as we just arrived in Tbilisi at 4.30 am this morning, so after a little bit of a nap, we head down hunting for Georgian food. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a city map, but we have lonely planet guide book, so we head down to the old town which is less than 5 or ten minutes walk as our hotel is located in the old town itself.
We find this Georgian fast food restaurant in the middle of the old town and since we like to try the traditional Georgian food and do not want to wait long for the food to arrive, so we go in and ordered several different kind of food out of curiosity and the price is really cheap.
First the food arrive which is looks like spring rolls but it isn’t and taste was okay. And then we have potatoes bread which I like better than this spring rolls things, then we have khachapuri with red bean top with green chilli (which taste very strange), last we have another khachapuri with ham, onion, red people and lots of cheese. These khachapuri is humongous and we couldn’t finish it. Overall, taste was okay but not one of my favorite food in Georgia.
