MacRitchie Reservoir HSBC Tree Walk Reviews
A Nice Place for Walks with the Family Jul 31, 2009
The HSBC Tree Top Walk is located within the MacRitchie Reservoir. Pleasant for families with kids or by yourself when you want to hang around some greenery.
You do have to walk about a hour (shortest route)to get to the walkway. The path I took this time was along the edge of the Singapore Island Country Club.
You can park at a nearby car park (Venus Drive), hey - I didn't name it. or take the 166 bus that runs between Ang Mo Kio & Clementi Bus Stations. Other buses that pass by: 167,980 Get off near the SICC turnoff.
For hard core jungle trekkers, this will be too easy. For a fun time walking and seeing the various inhabitants of the forest (secondary jungle actually)- it can be done very leisurely.
The kids will have a good time cause most of the creatures encountered will not be dangerous or very hungry. I stopped many times along the way to just have a closer look at the birds, snake, flora, squirrels, lizards & monkeys along the way.
