When we arrived we had some type of shuttle service to get to the hotel but waited around as the porter dude found us a driver. We took a medium-sized air-conditioned van with a few other passengers with several stops to our hotel. As we drove we were able to check out most of the hotel… Cancun |

Arrived in Cancun around 9am after 15 hours of traveling to get dropped off at a hotel that is CLOSED! And they've been closed for FOUR months. I booked reservations months ago through skyauction.com which is like ebay for travel. When I won the auction and put in my travel dates request the hotel was already closed!! So not sure… Arrival and hotel headaches |

Just the ocean on one side and green on the other and a bunch of hotels that looked super fancy! Well, at least the entrances to the hotels were super fancy! When we got to the hotel the colors were vibrant! They reminded me of a hacienda with the brick reds and a yellowish mustardish color, I guess I should… Playa del Carmen |

On the way back to our hotel we did a quick drive past the hotel strip along the coast, marvelling at the huge hotels located at the oceanfront.
The hotel we had in town was slightly more modest.
